You may need to make changes to a file, such as spelling or adding new content, but if that file is saved as a PDF you won't be able to make changes. In order to convert that file to one which you can edit, such as word, you'll need to use an online service called Zamzar.com.


Please Note: Converting from PDF to Word is not always perfect, and you may find that a block of text is now an image of text instead. Unfortunately this is the nature of the conversion, though the average document should be unaffected.


  1. Go to Zamzar.com in your web browser.
  2. Follow the steps on Zamzar
    1. Click 'Choose Files...' and select the PDF you wish to convert
    2. Click the 'Convert files to:' drop down menu, and select .docx
    3. Enter your work email address in the text box, firstName.lastName@fermanaghomagh.com. Your converted document will be sent to this link
    4. Click on convert. Your file will now be uploaded.
  3. Zamzar will send you an email once your document has been converted. Click on the blue link below the blue box:
  4. Click on the green 'Download Now' box:

  5. Click on the blue link to download the converted file:
