Auto-correct is a feature built into all iPhones which aims to correct common misspellings. However it doesn't always know what you mean, and can be more trouble than it's worth. If you would like to turn off auto-correct, follow the steps below:
- Open the Settings app on the Home screen.
- Scroll down to General in the Settings app, and tap on it.
- Scroll down to Keyboard in the General section, and tap on it.
- Tap on the green switch beside Auto-Correction. This should turn the green into grey, and move the circle inside the switch to the left.
Once you have completed these steps auto-correct will be disabled on your phone. To turn it back on again, just follow the steps again, this time tapping the switch so the grey becomes green and the circle inside the switch moves to the right.
