To change the password you use to log in to Windows and Outlook (emails), follow the steps below using Global Protect:

  1. Ensure Global Protect is connected and working.
  2. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete, and select the option 'Change a password...'.
  3. Select your account, which should be named 'firstName.lastName'.
  4. Enter your old password in the box titled 'Old password', and your new password in the boxes titled 'New password' and 'Confirm password'. (See new password guide below)
  5. Click the blue arrow beside 'Confirm password' to finish changing your password.


New Password guide: When creating a new password ensure you meet the requirements. Use a capital letter, numbers and symbols to meet the criteria required for updating your passwords. See example; Blue/1950!


Please note: Changing your Windows password will also change your Outlook (emails) password and Microsoft Teams password. Next time you open your Emails, Microsoft Teams and Global Protect, you will be asked to enter your new password. Ensure you reconnect to Global Protect by logging into it with your new password.
